Performance History

Vermont Shakespeare Company is a professional theatre company founded in 2005 by husband and wife team Jena Necrason and John Nagle.  Since its inception, the company has produced four tremendously successful summer seasons of Shakespeare in the Park in the Champlain Islands of Vermont; gathering a large and devoted following along the way. Our educational outreach efforts have offered free theatre training to over 250 young people from Vermont and New York.

2011 SEASON

Vino and the Bard
October 1, 2011
Come crush a cup of wine with us!

Vino and the Bard is an entirely unique performance event presented by Vermont Shakespeare Company. Join us for a night of powerful scenes from Shakespeare’s most iconic plays paired with wine tastings from East Shore Vineyard. Scenes take place throughout the night, interspersed with tastings and time to mingle. Characters pop in and out, and may even sit and have a drink with you!

This event is sponsored by
